New York based vocalist Veronica Swift makes her first DFW appearance and performs with two local big bands - The Texas Instruments Jazz Band and the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Jazz Band. At only 23 years old Veronica Swift has exploded on the jazz scene and is a regular performer at Birdland in New York City. She morphs from blues to ballads to swing putting her own unique stamp on each. Veronica takes command of the stage and the band with the skill of an old soul - a remarkable feat for one so young.
The TI Jazz Band is a Dallas, TX based big band now in their 33rd year. They have performed with many jazz greats including Clark Terry, Phil Woods, John Pizzarelli, Kurt Elling, Wayne Bergeron, Eric Marienthal, Delfeayo Marsalis, Frank Mantooth, Blue Lou Marini, and Tom Bones Malone.
The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra (GDYO) Jazz Band features some of the best local high school musicians in the DFW area performing together in an all-star ensemble.
