Parent/Guardian advisory: This is a gritty dark comedy about the early 80’s with some adult language, politically charged content, and brief stage violence with a plastic stage gun that cannot be discharged in any fashion.

Inspired by the months before John Hinckley's attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan, "Falls For Jodie" by Eric Micha Holmes is an imagined account of Hinckley’s strange partnership with a concierge at a hotel next to the Yale campus, who tries to help Hinckley win the affections of his child-star crush.

Actors Michael Paul and Trevor Vaughn are returning from Brooklyn NY to their home town of Mckinney to share this timely dark comedy with Texas audiences.

Theatre can be an instrument of positive change, and when the winds of inspiration command a certain story for a certain time, there is no denying it. Working with Broadway Director Isaac Klein, Falls For Jodie uncovers connections between the sociopolitical landscape of 1980 and what is happening in our country today. Celebrityism, drugs, gun control, mental illness, racism, and radicalization are some of the themes explored in the play. This poignant piece of theater seeks to engage local audiences in timely conversations about America's past, present, and future.
