A classic William Shakespeare comedy set in Padua, the play centers around the merchant Baptista and his two daughters. Suitors pursue the younger, prettier daughter, Bianca, who cannot be married before her strong-willed sister, Katherina. Once Kate is married off, her husband devises a plan to “out-shrew” her, and turn her into an obedient wife.
