The McKinney Philharmonic Orchestra brings to McKinney for the first time the music of Carlos Antonio Jobim. A composer, songwriter, pianist and singer, Jobim is known as the father of the Bossa Nova Style and a champion of Brazilian music. The orchestra will feature Hans York and Banda Brazil presenting some of Jobim's original arrangements by Nelson Riddle and Claus Ogerman. This evening promises listeners a trip down memory lane with songs like Girl from Ipanema, Wave and Desafinado.
