Founded in Austin, Texas by Brian Hofeldt and Tony Villanueva in 1993, The Derailers have released eight studio albums, two live records, and one retrospective collection in the past 25+ years, as well as having been part of numerous compilations and other recording projects.
They’ve been to outer space (well, at least one of their songs has!), featured on the stages of The Grand Ole Opry, A Prairie Home Companion, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and the US President’s Inaugural Ball, and even appear as characters in two Stephen King stories. And at his personal request, the band performed at their friend Buck Owens’ 70th birthday party.
The Derailers are always happy to return home to Austin and their “natural habitat”, The Broken Spoke, having toured many times across the United States, Europe, and Japan. Of their more than 25 years as one of the hardest working bands in country music, founder Brian Hofeldt says, “We’re just warming up!”.
Doors open at 7:30pm. A cash bar with beer, wine, soda and water will be available.
