Love, laughter, and life’s little chaos come crashing into one tiny New York apartment in Neil Simon’s beloved romantic comedy, Barefoot in the Park.
Corie is a carefree free spirit. Paul is a buttoned-up, straight-as-an-arrow attorney. Fresh off a whirlwind honeymoon, they move into her latest “find”—a fifth-floor walkup with no heat, bad plumbing, a leaky skylight, and more character than comfort. Just as they’re settling in, Corie’s eccentric mother drops by, and a wild dinner party with their bohemian attic neighbor, Velasco, sends everything into a tailspin.
Tensions flare when Corie accuses Paul of being too rigid and boring, while Paul struggles to keep up with her spontaneous spark. She wants him to live a little—maybe even try running barefoot in the park. Can love survive a broken radiator, an oddball neighbor, and a very steep staircase?
Full of heart and hilarity, Barefoot in the Park is a timeless comedy that reminds us that opposites attract… and that marriage, like life, is all about finding the right balance.
Rated PG for some suggestive dialogue and sexual situations
