The Texins Jazz Band has a 39-year history of producing concerts featuring great guest artists. Our next concert will feature the music of the legendary Stevie Wonder. Our guest artist is Matt Harris, who has arranged Stevie Wonder songs for full big band. Matt is a distinguished jazz pianist, composer, arranger, and educator with a career spanning several decades. A Cincinnati native, Matt honed his craft at the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor of Music degree, and at the Eastman School of Music, where he obtained a Master’s degree. Following his studies, Matt toured, wrote, and recorded with jazz legends Maynard Ferguson and Buddy Rich. In 1985, he relocated to Los Angeles, immersing himself in the vibrant studio scene as a versatile musician, composer, arranger, and orchestrator. Texins Jazz Band is a full 18-piece community big band based in Dallas, TX. The band is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1986 at Texas Instruments in Dallas. The majority of band members have STEM based degrees and careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). The band is under the musical direction of Bill Centera. Presented by the Texins Jazz Band
